As is vividly shown in the two pie charts, there is a survey concerning consumers' acceptance and primary concerns regarding eldercare robots. According to the first chart, a considerable proportion of people, accounting for 39.3%, completely accept the use of these robots, while 32.8% partially accept them and 27.9% refuse to accept them. Meanwhile, the second chart reveals that safety is the top concern for consumers, taking up 46.3%, followed by price (24.9%) and convenience (10.7%).
The intended meaning of these charts is profound: it reflects the growing trend of utilizing artificial intelligence in eldercare and the public's rational attitude towards it. With the acceleration of the aging population, the demand for elderly care services is increasing dramatically. Eldercare robots can effectively alleviate the burden on families and society. However, as a new technology, it is natural for people to worry about their reliability and affordability, which perfectly explains why safety and price are their primary concerns.
In my opinion, the prospect of eldercare robots is highly promising, but there is still a long way to go. On the one hand, tech companies should attach great importance to the safety and practicability of their products to win consumers' trust. On the other hand, the government should formulate relevant regulations and provide subsidies to make these robots more affordable. Only in this way can technology better serve our aging society.
