Themetaphoricalmeaningofthispictureisprofound:ithighlightsthesignificanceofacquiringinterdisciplinaryknowledgeandbroadeningone'shorizons.Intoday'srapidlychangingsociety,stickingsolelytoone'sownmajorisfarfromenough.Cross-disciplinarylearningallowsstudentstodevelopcomprehensivecapabilitiesandinnovativethinking.Thosewhoareonlyconfinedtotheirspecificfields,likethefirststudent,mayfinditdifficulttoadapttothecomplexdemandsofthemodernworld.Conversely,attendingvariouslecturescaninspirenewideasandopendoorstounexpectedopportunities.
Inmyopinion,collegestudentsshouldbeopen-mindedandactivelyparticipateindiverseacademicactivities.Ontheonehand,universitiesshouldorganizemorehigh-qualitycross-disciplinarylecturestostimulatestudents'intellectualcuriosity.Ontheotherhand,westudentsmuststepoutofouracademiccomfortzonesandembraceknowledgefromdifferentfields.Onlybybecomingwell-roundedindividualscanwethriveinthefuture.
