Sample Essay
As is vividly depicted in the drawing, a young boy is talking to his father with a frustrated look. He lowers his head and complains, "Dad, many classmates think learning to sing traditional opera is not fun." Patting the boy on the head, the father replies warmly, "Don't you like it yourself? That's enough."
The metaphorical meaning of this picture is profound: it highlights the significance of independent thinking and the courage to pursue one's own passion despite peer pressure. In our society, people inevitably encounter doubts or negative comments from others. Some people may easily give up their dreams and conform to the majority. However, as the father suggests, genuine interest is the best teacher and the strongest motivation. What truly matters is not how others judge our choices, but whether we find inner peace and fulfillment in doing what we love.
In my opinion, we should firmly stick to our own hearts and not be easily swayed by external voices.
